Lauri Mitchell
Lauri Mitchell has twenty-five years of experience providing customized consulting and research
services to industry. Her expertise lies in strategic marketing and industry analysis. For the past
ten years, her focus has been on leading consulting engagements for major pharmaceutical,
healthcare and biotechnology companies. She has been a thought leader in helping clients
integrate geographic variability into their business models and plans. Recently, Lauri has focused
on understanding the impact of the Medicare Modernization Act on the pharmaceutical industry,
and helping clients develop the capabilities they will need to be successful in this changing
environment. Prior to her association with The Amundsen Group, she was a Principal in the
pharmaceutical practice at Charles River Associates, a leader in the healthcare practice at
Nextera Enterprises, and a manager at Planning Technologies Group, a strategy consulting firm
later acquired by Nextera.
In addition, Lauri worked as an independent contractor exclusively serving a large
pharmaceutical client, providing counsel and analytical support to executives in Managed
Markets and US Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing. Key projects included designing
metrics and processes to assess the business impact of services provided to important industry
stakeholders such as large provider groups and employers; and, developing approaches to
supplement traditional sales and marketing resource allocation processes. Lauri received
her Master’s of Science Management from the Sloan School of Management at M.I.T. and a
BA in Psychology from Tufts University.
